Tenuta Baroni del Mestri since 1651

Nobility
is the land

A historic seventeenth-century loggia, a family property since 1971: brothers Giampaolo and Massimo, together with their nephews and niece Lorenza, Erica, and Gabriele, run the estate side by side.

Who We Are

nobility is born of the land

Baroni del Mestri is a wine and olive oil estate carrying forward a family tradition since 1971. Located in the picturesque Collio friulano, the estate is a corner of paradise at the heart of nature, where high-quality wine and extra virgin olive oil are produced. Our passion for a unique terroir and sustainable growing techniques allows us to offer authentic, distinctive products. With the aim of giving visitors unforgettable experiences, we organize tours, tastings, and events dedicated to discovering our wines and oils.

Our story begins in the early 1970s, when the Cramer family decided to invest in enhancing the land they had inherited.
Since then, our journey has been marked by dedication and passion for viticulture and olive growing, with continuous evolution both in our production methods and in the quality of our products.
Today, we are proud to share the beauty of our estate and the richness of our traditions with our visitors.

The Estate

A 17th-century residence, its garden

The entrance to the estate lies right at the end of the scenic road leading up to the square on Monte Quarin. From the gate, you enter the courtyard, bordered by buildings dating from the mid-1600s to the end of the following century. In a commanding position stands the 1651 loggia, a small gem brought to light during the restoration works carried out from 2005 onward, which uncovered the sandstone columns and capitals — a stone that is difficult to work and characteristic of Monte Quarin, shaped by the hands of highly skilled stonemasons over 360 years ago.

The Wines

The amphitheater of vineyards on the southern slope of Monte Quarin holds one of the oldest vineyards in Friuli. From these prized vines of Tocai Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana, Merlot, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso come our single-varietal wines, along with the blends Collio Bianco "Sere d'Estate" and Collio Rosso "Barone di Schoenberg." Alongside them, the vintage extra brut Ribolla Gialla and the rosé "Theresia."

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Since 1971, the year we acquired the estate, we have paired the grape harvest with that of cherries, pears, and figs, growing ever more passionate about olive cultivation. From our Tuscan varieties and the Bianchera, we produce an extra virgin oil that brings the Adriatic aromas of Trieste and Istria to the table.
